Fabio Zaina is the Medical Doctor for ISICO since 2006, specializing in the field of scoliosis and low back pain. Since 2006 Member of the Scientific Secretary Board of the Italian Study Group on Scoliosis and spinal diseases (GSS) (www.gss.it). He is a member of the ISSLS (International Society on the Study of the Lumbar Spine), currently Chair of the Membership Committee, since 2009. He is currently site director at the “Principle and Practice of Clinical Research” organized by the Harvard public health school. Dr. Zaina serves as the chair of the “Spinal Deformity Module” of the EDISC course by Eurospine. He was president of SOSORT in 2016. He is an author of more than 130 scientific papers about spinal rehabilitation, back pain and scoliosis.

Dr. Jean Claude de Mauroy, MD, is a medical doctor with specialties in physical medicine and rehabilitation, biomechanics, and sports medicine. He has been instrumental in the development of the Lyon method of non-surgical scoliosis treatment and is the inventor of the ARTbrace for scoliosis management. Dr. de Mauroy conducts international training on the Lyon method and the effectiveness of the ARTbrace and is extensively published on the topic of non-surgical treatment for scoliosis. He is the President of the SIRER (International Society of Spine Research) and is a past president of SOSORT.

Grant Wood is a co-founder of Align Clinic in San Mateo California. He specializes in scoliosis bracing with Rigo-Chêneau braces and has over 30 years of experience in the areas of prosthetic and orthotic patient care, product development, and scientific research. Grant’s professional career as an orthotist and prosthetist includes work in the US, England and Spain, where he worked for 8 years at Group IDEO in Sevilla and Malaga. His post-graduate thesis was on idiopathic scoliosis treatment using the Chêneau brace at the Research Institute for Health, University of Salford. As well as being British certified in prosthetics and orthotics, he also has an American Board Certification to be a Certified Orthotist (CO) and is US Board Certified in Prosthetics. Grant co-authored the Brace Classification paper that was endorsed by SOSORT.

Dr. Jeb McAviney is a chiropractor with a special interest in the clinical research and the clinical management of scoliosis in adults and children. He holds both a Masters of Pain Medicine and Masters of Chiropractic and is the founder and clinical director of the ScoliCare group in Australia. Dr McAviney has published several journal articles including systematic reviews on the prevalence of Adult De-Novo Scoliosis and the evidence for scoliosis bracing in adults. Dr. McAviney is on the associate editorial board and a reviewer for The European Spine Journal. He is also a scientific reviewer for the Journal of Prosthetics & Orthotics and the SOSORT society’s scientific committee. Jeb co-authored the Brace Classification paper that was endorsed by SOSORT.
