Dr Arnold Wong
An overview of respiratory impairments in Scoliosis. An evidence-based analysis
Dr. Arnold Wong is a physiotherapist, Schroth therapist, and professor at The Hong Kong Polytechnic University. He earned his PhD from the University of Alberta. Since 2017, Dr. Wong has focused his research on scoliosis. His team received the SOSORT Best Paper Awards in both 2019 and 2025. He has been invited to speak at various conferences and recently published a topical review on scoliosis management in the Journal of Physiotherapy.
Dr Tom Schlösser
The practical application of respiratory exercises in Scoliosis and implications for brace wearing. An evidence-based analysis
Dr. Schlösser is an orthopaedic/spine surgeon at the UMC Utrecht in The Netherlands. His main interest is paediatric and adult spinal deformities and sagittal balance issues. He trained in several hospitals in the Netherlands, as a visiting resident in Lyon and as a fellow in the National Spinal Deformity Service at the Royal Hospital for Sick Children and Royal Infirmary in Scotland. He wrote a PhD-thesis on 3D imaging of Adolescent idiopathic scoliosis, contributed to more than 100 scientific articles on scoliosis and collaborates with many scoliosis care specialists worldwide.
Dr Olavo Biraghi Letaif

Dr Olavo Letaif MD, PhD, is an orthopedic spine surgeon at the Clinics Hospital of University of São Paulo (USP) in Brazil, a tertiary health service dealing with complex spine deformities. He is an active member of Scoliosis Research Society (SRS), and he is the current chairman of SOSORT’s Scientific Committee. He is the author of several scientific papers (including papers published in the European Spine Journal, Spine Deformity, Clinics, Global Spine Journal and Clinical Orthopaedics and Relate Research). He is reviewer of several journals, including the prestigious “The Journal of Bone & Joint Surgery (JBJS)”.
